Shokz, formerly AfterShokz, has revealed its new ‘OpenRun Pro’ headphone model. Just like the company’s previous models, the latest model uses what’s called bone conduction technology.
Thanks to bone conduction technology, the user does not have to put headphones in the ear. Instead, the sound from the headphones’ audio elements is broadcast through the user’s jawbone. This means that the user is not completely trapped in the audio experience and can also perceive sounds from their surroundings. In OpenRunPro, Shokz has also built new elements that are said to provide a better core experience than previous models.
Shokz also released for the first time an associated app where the user can adjust some settings for the latest model of headphones. Shokz OpenRun Pro can be purchased now and costs about $180.
