Marex 440 Gourmet Cruiser – World Premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival – Boats

The Norwegian company Marex will display several models at the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival, which runs from September 12 to 17. In addition to the 310 Sun Cruiser, 330 Scandinavia and 360 Cabriolet Cruiser, there will be the world premiere of the new Marex 440 Gourmet Cruiser.

The Marex 440 Gourmet Cruiser is a new generation of family boats with modern design lines and many innovations. The new flagship will be 13.70 meters long and 4.27 meters wide. Marex will offer two versions of the new model: the 440 Gourmet Cruiser with a U-shaped galley layout and the 440 Scandinavia with an enclosed saloon.

The new flagship was created in collaboration between Marex’s design team and Slovenian studio VOM Creations Yacht Design. Nikl Design and Alpha Creations are responsible for the construction and design.

– Our new 440 GC is the natural evolution of the Marex model series. “The exterior of the Marex 440 has a dynamic and modern look, but we were careful to maintain our identity,” says Espen Allrod, Marex CEO.

– The basic idea is to create a family boat with a focus on being able to live easily and comfortably in the boat and have a much greater boat experience. Allrod adds that the new model has, for example, the largest kitchen in its class, a beach club on the pier, two bathrooms and a washing machine.

One of the innovations of the 440 Gourmet Cruiser is the kitchen. Marex has designed a large U-shaped kitchen – the largest in its class. It has an oven with microwave, double sinks, induction hob and dishwasher. It also has a slot on the worktop for storing four beer and beverage cases. Solar panels provide enough capacity to keep a 220-liter fridge and 100-liter freezer permanently running – without shore power.

The social cockpit of the 440 Gourmet Cruiser has a U-shaped sofa with a table for up to 8-10 people. The bar connects the saloon and cockpit to an open social area where guests can enjoy themselves. Of course, this model is equipped with the popular Marex Canopy System, which is the quickest and easiest way to close the open cockpit deck.

Marex has taken the beach club idea to family boating. The bathing deck has a large built-in soft cushioned seating area to enjoy being close to the sea.

The Marex 440 can be equipped with either rear, IPS or shaft drive, as well as a large generator and gyroscopic stabilizer. For practical berthing, the 440 has two side doors. This allows freedom of movement for the captain and guests.
