As most Apple fans have likely discovered, the Cupertino company launched two great new MacBook Pros, with 14- and 16-inch screens, respectively, about two weeks ago.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get either of the two laptops needed for a test run, but others do. And at least one Twitter user has discovered one thing in particular with the new MacBook Pro — that the new notch, or “notch,” at the top of the screen where the webcam is — doesn’t seem to have been fully considered.
The problem is that neither macOS nor the individual apps seem to be able to figure out how to deal with the lack of space in the status bar. The result is that the menus end behind a small slit that the user cannot click with the mouse. In other words, there are many indications that Apple forgot to modify macOS so that the operating system could work with the new slot.
