Samsung announced the other day that it is developing a cloud gaming platform that will be rolled out on future TVs.
Samsung’s as yet unnamed gaming platform will allow users of TVs running Samsung Tizen’s operating system to stream games directly to their TVs. Not much is currently known about the Samsung gaming platform, nor about when it will be launched. During the Samsung Developer Conference 2021, held on Tuesday, Yongjae Kim, Head of Research and Development at Visual Display Software, said of the future gaming platform:
“To diversify your choice of game on Samsung Smart TVs, we are developing a new cloud gaming platform. This means that you will soon be able to enjoy games without purchasing high-end hardware, and developers can easily apply the smooth and immersive Samsung Smart TV experience to new games.”
