Xiaomi 12 Soon, and the CEO of the company confirmed that it will be its first mobile phone Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset (Which was previously expected to be called Snapdragon 898).
Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi, appeared in a video below Qualcomms Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021The event, where he confirmed the name of the mobile and the fact that it will use the new chipset.
John also said a mobile phone “will be available soon”. The launch date of the Xiaomi 12 has not been confirmed, but a new leak has indicated that the company will unveil its new mobile phone in China on December 16.

Previously, Xiaomi introduced its flagship mobile phones in China first, then introduced them to other markets (including Sweden) at a later time. We expect a similar situation this time around, although it has not yet been confirmed.
This is the first mobile manufacturer that has confirmed that it will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in its next flagship. Motorola has also confirmed that the upcoming flagship will have the chipset as well.
We expect to see more manufacturers confirm this in the coming days and weeks.
Xiaomi previously confirmed that it will remove the Mi branding from its upcoming mobile phones, and the company has chosen to call this device the Xiaomi 12 to simplify the name structure.
