Sony and Backbone today showcased the Backbone One – PlayStation Edition controller, an officially licensed console that people can use with an iPhone. As you can see in the clip above, it borrowed some design from the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller and Sony’s Pulse headphones.
The idea is to use this control when playing PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 games on your phone via Remote Play. But of course it can also be used with regular mobile games.
The control is powered by the phone battery, so you don’t need to charge it separately, which is practical.
Backbone One – PlayStation Edition will initially be released in a selected region with Sweden being one of the selected regions. Control costs 1499 SEK and can be purchased over here. It’s also available in black if you now prefer an Xbox branded version instead.
A similar scan for Android is also underway, but it won’t be released until November.
