Saori Kisei was previously Apple's top finance officer, but now she's on her way to Sonos after more than a dozen years at Apple.
Casey takes over as CFO of Sonos from Eddie Lazarus. Who will retain his current duties as Legal Counsel and assume the role of Chief Strategy Officer. As Bloomberg also says, this is a major loss for Apple, and comes in a series of other departures among top executives. Last month, it was reported that Steve Hotelling, who worked on key technologies like the iPhone's multi-touch screen, Touch ID, and Face ID, would be retiring from Apple. In addition, Tang Tan, Apple's vice president of product design, is also about to leave.
“Sonos is an iconic consumer brand with an exciting lineup of speaker products that delight and inspire millions of consumers around the world, including me,” Casey said in today’s press release. She will take over as CFO at Sonos effective January 22, 2024.
At Apple, Casey was somewhat of a right-hand man for Luca Maestri and was charged with overseeing financial planning, forecasting and investor relations.
