Ryds Glas is expanding in Skåne

Sweden’s largest glass factory is growing and is now establishing itself in the southeastern part of Skåne when the company acquired Glasmästarna Skåne AB. Glasmästeriet will be part of Ryds Glas on September 1, 2022, and the acquisition means the company is now active in nine Scanian locations.

Ryds Glas has experienced strong growth in recent years and has grown to become Sweden’s largest glass factory. Today, the company has 560 employees working across all of the company’s operations, from Malmö in the south to Lulea in the north. In September, an increase is expected through the acquisition of Glasmästarna i Skåne AB and therefore Ryds Glas will have a physical presence in Ystad.

Our ambition is to double our sales by 2025. This will be done organically and with the help of acquisitions. During the year we achieved growth of approximately SEK 200 million, half of which was through acquisitions. When we buy a company, we always do a great analysis of the business so that it aligns with our ambitions, our culture, our type of competency, and our values. Glass in Skåne fits well with Ryds Glas and we are very pleased with our new establishment in Southeast Skåne, says Roger Pearson, CEO of Ryds Glas.
