HomePod mini is finally in Sweden

The HomePod Mini was not available in normal sales channels in the Nordic countries because, among other things, it does not support Apple’s voice control in Swedish. But now the small-talking smart assistant Siris has been updated, and it understands Swedish.

The spherical HomePod mini is on sale from December 13th for SEK 1,295 each. And yes, you can string several together, either into stereo speakers or connect speakers in multiple rooms.

HomePod mini does not take up much space, it is only 8.4 cm in height and is controlled with an iPhone, iPad or through the touchpad located on top of the speaker.

Despite its small size, Apple says the HomePod mini delivers rich, clear sound. They achieved this, they say, by placing a full-range driver inside the speaker upside down. It runs in a bowl-shaped chamber, and holes all around should provide 360-degree sound from the tiny HomePod mini.

Three microphones pick up what you say when you ask Siri to play music or check the weather forecast. Siri works here the same way it does on the iPhone.

One or more HomePod minis should work seamlessly with Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and a wide range of Internet radio stations, but of course you can stream from Tidal or Spotify just as you can with any Bluetooth speaker.

The cool thing about the HomePod mini is that you can connect it to a coil Apple TV 4K And use HomePod mini as a soundbar for your TV. Preferably in stereo of course.
