Henry Golding dives into the background of the famous GI Joe. Film premiere August 20.
Henry Golding, known from “Crazy Rich Asians” and “Last Christmas,” leaves the romantic genre behind to become the action hero. The film is an attempt to reboot and spark new interest in the game-based GI Joe franchise. If they succeed, we will see the cinema at the end of the summer.
Snake Eyes is a lone wolf who has been welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan, the Arashikage, after saving the life of a future leader. Arriving in Japan, Snake-Eyed Arashikage teaches the path of a ninja warrior, while giving him something he’s always longed for: a home. But when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and devotion will be tested – even if it means those close to him can no longer trust him.
In other roles, we also see Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó as Baroness, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Haruka Abe as Akiko, Tahehiro Hira as Kenta, and Iko Uwais as Hard Master.
An exclusive interview with Henry Golding will appear on MovieZine as the August 20 premiere approaches.
