The actor is on his way back with many heavy movie roles ahead of him.

“The Mummy” star Brendan Fraser has been cast as the villain in DC’s superhero movie Batgirl.

However, it is uncertain who will play it final date I think it’s Firefly, aka Garfield Lynns. In the comic books, he’s a pyrotechnician who works with special effects in movies, but when he gets burned, he switches to the criminal side as a dangerous arson culprit.

It’s been a good year for Brendan Fraser, who broke out in “Jungle-George” (1997) and the adventure movie “The Mummy” (1999). In 2021, he starred in Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale and scored Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon. He also stars in Steven Soderbergh’s No Surprise Motion. That, combined with the role in “Batgirl”, feels like a great comeback in the movie world is waiting for you.

Brendan Fraser I am “The Mummy”.

This isn’t the first time Fraser has played in the DC Universe. He also lent his voice to Robotman in the Doom Patrol superhero series.

In “Batgirl” we’ll meet Leslie Grace (most recently in the musical “In the Heights”) as Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Police Chief James Gordon, who disguises herself at night to keep Gotham safe.
