Journalist Mark Gorman in a Bloomberg post breaks down what will be presented at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, or WWDC, which begins June 5.
According to Gurman, the big news will be Apple’s virtual reality headset, which will then be the company’s first new product category in nearly a decade. Along with the headset, the new xrOS operating system associated with its associated development tools will also reportedly be unveiled for software development.
Other, slightly more traditional, details to be announced are iOS 17 and iPad OS 17, a major update to Watch OS 10, as well as MacBook computers and Mac OS 14. In iOS 17, it is said that Apple may open up for users to install apps. From sources other than Apple’s App Store.
The Watch OS update is said to be the largest ever from Apple’s Watch OS. In addition to the new interface in Watch OS, the new Watch OS 10 is also said to provide some information about what we can expect from the new Apple Watch devices that will be released later this year. In the same way, Ipad OS 17 can lay the foundation for the expected iPad Pro with OLED display that we expect Apple to release in 2024.
