The Remootio Smart Opener for garage doors and gates is also now compatible with Apple Homekit.

Automated and remote controlled garage doors and gates are far from new. But often these are old-fashioned remote controls that are neither convenient nor safe. Remootio’s mobile solution was compatible with many smart home systems, with the exception of Apple’s Homekit. Now it’s fixed too!
The Remootio 3 consists of a small control box that you install in parallel with the previous unlock controller. It is controlled via Bluetooth or Wifi and communicates with a 256-bit encryption key so no one can hack it. You can then unlock it using their mobile app.
But it can also be opened with the help of Geo-fence, that is, when your mobile phone approaches, Remootio opens automatically. Or you use voice assistants like Alexa or Google Assistant.
Or, for now, Apple’s Siri. You can also use Siri Shortcuts to control your garage door or gate. If you can’t bear to use your mobile phone, of course there is also an Apple Watch app. If you have guests, you can share a “digital key” via QR code.
