The famous trio of presenters who ran the British show Top Gear until 2015 have decided to go their separate ways. We wrote about it earlier this summer.
But really, “we’re not getting rid of them” when it was said that the fourth and final episode of season five would be released in September of this year. It was actually recorded in September of last year, and is set in Zimbabwe, where Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May – of course – chose their 70s car as their go-to vehicle as they crossed the country.
Clarkson drives a Lancia Montecarlo, Hammond a Ford Capri 3000 GXL and May a Triumph Stag.
Streaming service Amazon Prime Video has now released a trailer for the final episode, titled “One for the Road.” In the trailer, we don’t get to see much driving, instead, mostly moments from the episode where the trio looks a bit dirty. It’s no wonder when they’ll split up (on TV) after nearly 22 years together. But of course, there’s also laughter and smiles.
The song choice in the trailer doesn't make it any less sad – “He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother” by The Hollies.
On September 13, the final episode of The Grand Tour will be released on Amazon Prime Video.
