The big loss to bottom club Watford was too big.

The UK’s Consolidated Press now says the decision has been made: Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be sacked.

Watford shocked Manchester United with a 4-1 win on Saturday, and immediately after the match, rumors began that Solskjaer would be allowed to leave.

During the evening, the club’s management held an emergency meeting, and although no official statements were made, the media quoted their own sources who confirmed that the decision had been taken – Solskjaer was expelled. Glazer royal family is also said according to BBC accepted.

According to the Guardian, Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher, who are currently part of the coaching staff, are temporarily taking over the coaching role.

Solskjaer played for Manchester United between 1996 and 2007, where he is remembered most for winning the 1999 Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

In 2018, he took over as the club’s technical director, and as recently as last summer, he signed a new contract valid until 2024.

Prior to this year’s season, United invested heavily and recruited stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, but despite this, the results did not materialize.

After twelve rounds, the team finished seventh with 17 points scored.

Solskjaer said after Watford’s loss that signings had raised expectations and we had hoped they would be on the right track, but at the moment we don’t seem to have found the shape.
