They say they received very good reviews from test players, but they also point out some flaws in the game. They want to fix these flaws before the game’s Early Access release, in part also because the game has received a lot of attention and seems to be attracting more players than they expected.
The only thing that will now be there from the start – rather than being added as the first major update – is the world beneath that toxic cloud of dust. You go there during the short expeditions, and the places you explore there have great risks and great rewards.
Other things they’re working on before and after release are greater variety of places to visit over the pond, ship damage and repair, and better opportunities to customize your ship and co-op for up to four players.
