This year marks the 70th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth to the throne. This is the longest reign of a king and it will be celebrated in four days.
The celebration begins with the military ceremony “Trooping the Color” on the Queen’s birthday on Thursday.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary, Prince Harry and Duchess Megan take part in some of the events. Among other things, they will attend a Thanksgiving ceremony with the entire royal family at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Friday.
This is the first time the couple has returned to the UK with their two children since their daughter Lilliput was born almost a year ago.
Meet Lilipet at the one-year level
One of Queen Elizabeth’s birthday presents is her first visit to her great – granddaughter Lilliput. Lilliput is named after Elizabeth, who is also known as Lilliput by her family.
When Harry and Megan arrive in England, they will stay at Frogmore Cottage, next to the Queen’s home in Windsor Castle. This is where Lilliput’s annual festival takes place on Saturday.
