Android, please wait
The source code for Android 15 may be released several weeks before the release of the operating system itself.
It is publishing Robot body Which comes out from anonymous sources with information about the delay. The fact that the new Pixel 9 models are not launching with Android 15 is unusual in itself, but it may be due to the fact that the launch is earlier than usual – they usually launch in September or October.
However, there is no information on when they will be able to upgrade to Android 15, but according to the post, the Android 15 upgrade may miss the entire month of September and will not be released until mid-October.
However, according to the information, Google plans to release the source code for the operating system as early as next week, which is usually done at the same time as the rollout of the Android beta.
There's no word yet on why Google is releasing the OS beyond the source code. It's presumably to improve stability, but it could also be to continue working on Pixel-specific features that don't touch the OS source code.
