Better quality than ever
In recent years, computer-controlled translation has become increasingly better. Translating simple sentences is rarely a problem, and you, for example, need a manual or a translated list that you can count on really good quality. When it comes to creative texts like fiction and poetry, the result is far from fun.
As a regular consumer, you can use services such as Google Translator Microsoft Translator
The latter has an interesting function called conversation. In a computer browser or in the phone app, you can create a multilingual conversation window. In other words, you can speak Swedish with a Spanish-speaking friend – or anything else from about a hundred languages the service supports. Thus everything you write in Spanish is displayed on its screen and its posts are translated into Swedish for you. You can also use your voice and read what you want to say. Yes, the service is open even to more than one users, so you can create a conference call in different languages.
One tip is to keep sentences short and simple. If you have the opportunity, it is also better to speak English. The quality of translation from English is usually better than translation from a small language such as Swedish.
