Nearly two years ago, Google showed off its Starline project, which enabled people to video chat with each other from a distance, while making it appear as if the person was sitting directly in front of you. Now Logitech is going to release something similar, albeit less advanced.
Project Ghost is a small kiosk where people can enter to talk to another person in a more immersive way. Instead of a set of custom sensors, Logitech uses already existing hardware and software. To make the image itself brighter, Logitech places a special type of glass at an angle between a regular screen, the same technology sometimes used for teleprompters.
