High quality Sonus faber sound system in the Maserati GranTurismo

Maserati and Sonus faber are a natural match. The iconic sports car manufacturer and Italy’s most famous manufacturer of high-end speakers have teamed up to put together a sound system for several Maserati models. The Gran Turismo 2+2 Coupe Gran Turismo will soon join the lightning-fast two-seater MC20, and the more family-friendly Grecale.

All three will be available with either a petrol engine or an all-electric motor. The electric one will be called Folgore, which means lightning in Italian.

The Maserati GranTurismo can be delivered with two new Sonus faber sound systems that are completely independent of the powertrain.

The GranTurismo can be delivered with what Sonus faber calls a premium sound system. It is designed with 14 speakers powered by a total of 860 watts of power. That should be enough for most people, we’re talking about a four-wheel drive vehicle, not a massive SUV. But there are always those who want more, and then Sonos Faber and Maserati can offer one high Excellent sound system.

There are a total of 19 speakers here, 1,195 (!) Watts of power, all in the same chamber.

Sonus faber has also added two audio files to the Premium Audio facility. Amati and Guarneri, who, by the way, were also violin makers in Cremona. The Premium Audio system’s speakers are split between two tweeters up front, three midrange elements, and two high-mids, while the two in the back get two tweeters and two midranges. Two of the midranges are also used for 2D surround, and at the back is a subwoofer that’s single-handedly powered by 200 watts.

High quality sound system

The largest received a sound profile system called Reference and EX3MA. Here, the 19 speaker elements are of a higher quality, spread across three front-firing woofers, three midrange elements, two high channels, and two bass elements. At the back there are two trebles and two midranges. Two mid-ranges give the system three-dimensional surround, and there’s also a subwoofer on the back that gets 200 watts.
