Royal succession in Britain continues to have repercussions. This summer, especially on June 7. Marries one of Britain’s richest men; Hugh Grosvenor, 32, with his Olivia Henson, 30, in Chester Cathedral. The guest list includes Prince William and Princess Kate as well as King Charles and Queen Camilla. There is even speculation that Prince William will be Grosvenor’s best man at the wedding. However, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are missing from the guest list, write The Sunday Times.
As Harry has a very close relationship with the Duke of Westminster, their not being invited is considered a huge blow to the couple. Grosvenor is the godfather to Harry’s son Archie, a previously unknown newspaper reports. Grosvenor was godfather to William’s eldest son George, and therefore – presumably – only one godfather to the two princes’ children. Grosvenor was also the King’s godson.
I wanted both of them to come
According to The Sunday Times, Hugh Grosvenor actually wanted to attend Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
– It’s incredibly sad that it turned out this way. Hugh was one of the few close friends who remained in close contact with both Harry and William. A source told the magazine that her wish was for them to talk to each other and work things out, but realized that was unlikely to happen before the wedding.
– Especially for Olivia’s sake, he wanted to cover the day and didn’t want any embarrassment.
