Five modern sports hotels in Europe

For many, vacation is the best time to relax and unwind. At the same time, exercise has become a part of many people’s lifestyle and daily life, and something you look for both at home and outside. Many Swedes choose an active holiday, in which exercise and health are combined with recovery and peace.

High demand for sports hotels

So far this year, sales of training flights have increased by 20 percent compared to the same period before the pandemic. Crossfit, swimming, cycling, yoga and group travel are common and interest in paddle boarding at our destinations is also growing, says Sandra Miller King, Apollo Communications Manager.

Before the summer of 2022, Apollo launched two new sports hotels in Greece. Porto Merina – powered by Playitas and Levante – powered by Playitas.

– The fact that the hotels are marked by Playitas is a guarantee of excellent training opportunities. We’ve reviewed on-site gym equipment, food, and programs and hired coaches that are about the same high standard as the other Playitas facilities, says Sandra Miller Kinge.

In Levante, a completely new infrastructure has been invested with six tennis courts, two paddle courts, a 25-meter swimming pool, a new gym and a bike center, among other things.

In total, Apollo now has 10 hotels for training flights under the Apollo Sports concept in five countries, Greece, Spain, Egypt, Thailand and Portuguese Madeira.
