The Android 12 train keeps rolling, and now it’s Oneplus’ turn, both Oneplus 9 and 9 Pro phones. Oxygen OS 12 running Android 12 can be downloaded via the standard update function or, if it does not appear yet, it can be tested using the Oneplus Oxygen Updater app for this.
However, there have been some complaints about the private company forum The connection to some mobile networks, especially the 5G networks, had some issues after the update. However, it’s not something Oneplus itself has mentioned so it may be a coincidence, but if you want to be on the safe side it might be worth waiting a bit for the update, not least if you know with you that you usually use 5G.
OnePlus in Sweden confirms to Mobile that the update started rolling out yesterday and that it will reach all 9 Series phones in the coming days. According to Oneplus schedule, other Oneplus models will receive the update during the first half of 2022. This applies to Oneplus 9R, Oneplus 8T, Oneplus 8 Pro, Oneplus 8, Oneplus 7T Pro, Oneplus 7T, Oneplus 7 Pro, Oneplus 7, Oneplus Nord 2 models and Oneplus Nord CE and Oneplus Nord. Oneplus does not currently provide a more accurate timeline.
