Amazon has introduced a new artificial intelligence (AI)-based technology that can detect even the smallest anomalies in delivery trucks, from tire defects and undercarriage wear to bent or deformed body parts, before they become a problem down the road.
Amazon is launching a new Automated Vehicle Inspection (AVI) in the UK, USA, Canada and Germany in partnership with tech startup UVeye.
New AVI-The technology aims to reduce the pressure on fleet vehicle managers who have to rely solely on human eye and manual inspections for daily safety checks. AVI will also improve the safety of the 280,000 drivers employed worldwide by Amazon Delivery Service Partners (DSPs).
