A Boy Called Christmas movie trailer. Santa’s origin story

Netflix continues to invest in Christmas movies and this year’s A Boy Called Christmas appears to be the big investment. The film is an original story about Santa Claus and is based on the book The Hunt for Christmas by Matt Haig.

The film revolves around Nicholas who lives with his father deep in the Finnish forests. When the king announces a reward for those who can prove the existence of an elven village, Nicholas’ father accepts the challenge and leaves. Nicholas is left with his evil aunt who he doesn’t think is very fun. So he decides to head north to find his father, which is the beginning of his Christmas adventure.

An ordinary young boy named Nicholas sets out on an adventure in the snowy north in search of his father who is on a quest to discover the legendary village of elves, Elfhelm. Taking with him a stubborn reindeer called Blitzen and a loyal pet mouse, Nicholas soon meets his fate.

A Boy Called Christmas premieres on Netflix on November 24.
