Sergio Perez not driving in Formula One this week in the UK – unconfirmed test result and isolation followed by a positive coronation test | Sports

Sergio Perez did not attend the press conference on Thursday. The reason is that the Racing Point driver isolated himself after the test result was uncertain. Perez later obtained the results of his new test, and it showed positive results. He is now in quarantine, and thus misses the F1 weekend competition in Silverstone.

After a press conference today in the UK before this weekend’s F1 race was reported Series on its website Sergio Perez, along with others in the stable, is in self-isolation.

The reason was an unconfirmed test result.

F1 reported that Perez has taken the new coronation test and will remain in isolation until results come in. He’s got it now and he’s testing positive.

Racing Point now writes after the announcement that although Perez is not participating, they will have two drivers on Sunday.
