Victor Noreen will play the lead role in “American Idiot” in Copenhagen in Spring 2021

For the first time, it will be possible to watch award-winning punk rock music “American Goof for Green Day” In the hall of the Danish theater. A story of frustration and fear experienced by three young men, their lives, problems of loneliness and the pursuit of fellowship in alcohol and heavy drugs.

The American band Green Day is known for its angry, guitar-packed punk rock, and it was the singer himself, Billy Joe Armstrong, who turned the popular 2004 album “American Idiot” into this award-winning music album.

The critically acclaimed album is highly personal and political and was created in a depressed United States during the years when millions of young Americans were sent to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. “American Idiot” is world famous for its big hits as “Wake Me up When September Ends,” which was later dedicated to the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks and Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans in 2005.

The musical’s plot is based on the fictional suburb of Gingletown, where friends Johnny, Will, and Tony try to escape the harmonious suburban lifestyle away from their parents’ strict rules. A suburban life where the temptations of alcohol and drugs await. While Will resides in his hometown and tries to support himself and his pregnant girlfriend, Johnny and Tony travel to the big city in hopes of finding happiness.

Audiences will be able to look forward to hearing popular songs from “American Idiot” ia “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends” – plus some surprises along the way.
