The success of the Volvo XC40 continues. In Great Britain, the compact SUV sold twice as much as Volvo itself had predicted.

3,000 XC40s have been sold in the UK since its launch in late February, double Volvo’s own forecast.
Sales are calculated for Delivering 2,000 cars a month, this makes the XC40, according to Volvo, the most successful launch ever in the UK.
The impressive order reception means that Volvo is already a formidable contender for class leaders in this segment; Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Range Rover.

The first cars in the UK were the luxuriously equipped ‘XC40 First Edition’. Of the 1,000 cars that were available, almost all of them sold out even before the car hit the showrooms.
