This year’s SkiStar Winter Season premieres in Vemdalsskalet on November 26th. The recent hail provided good conditions for snow production, while more cold, natural snow can be expected in the near future. And so winter came to stay.
– Finally, we can open one of our ski resorts serially and at the same time open the gates for one season at SkiStar, with approximately 150 ski days ahead of us. The outlook also looks good for our other destinations in Sweden and Norway. As soon as we can offer good alpine skiing, we will open for the winter in more places, to offer our guests unforgettable mountain experiences, he says. Niclas Sjögren Berg, Director of Operations, SkiStar.
On Saturday, November 26, SkiStar Vemdalen will open the undulating Beers hill on the Skalspass, which is 1950 meters long and 350 meters high, along with the Pass Express – a six-seater lift where you can quickly and comfortably ride up the mountain and rest at the same time legs for the next ride.
– Finally we got cold weather and thus had the opportunity to produce really good cannon ice for our guests with natural icing as the icing on the cake. The feeling of the premiere when we open the winter season is always indescribable, not least this year. We’re ready for a long, wonderful winter season with something for everyone here at Vemdalen, the pearl of the mountain, he says Anders Lundqvist, Destination Director at SkiStar Vemdalen.
More detailed information about more lift openings and slopes as well as opening hours in the Vemdalen ski areas (Björnrike, Klövsjö / Storhogna and Vemdalsskalet) can be found and updated at skistar.com
