Red Bull will host the UK’s first major Fortnite event this summer, when the Red Bull Tournament takes place in Scotland in June. The event will be the Fortnite Build tournament, seeing the best Fortnite players from around the world take to the McEwan Hall in Edinburgh, all on one day: June 10th.
The event will feature a unique format of eight rounds, but with a twist on the traditional scoring system, the final four rounds will be worth twice as many points as usual, according to the press release.
As for who will be in attendance, we’re told a variety of big names will be on the competitive Fortnite scene, including Martin “Mr. Savage” Foss Anderson, Harry “Veno” Pearson, Thomas “Th0masHD” Høxbro Davidson, and Jaden “Wolfeez.” Ashman and Zakaria ‘Pink’ Siddall and many other names.
We’re told that amateur players in the UK and EU can qualify for the event by participating in open online qualifiers on May 20 and 21, and tickets for fans who want to take part will go on sale from April 10.
As for where the event will be broadcast, you can catch it on Red Bulls traction– and YouTube channels.
