5 tops for the Diamond League season
1 Armand Duplantes
The most exciting athlete in the world is of course always the most interesting. Expectations are very high. It’s still so young that it’s reasonable to imagine it’s still under development. He jumps 6 meters in training and I don’t think he’s done that before.

2 Daniel Stoll
– Ståhl can just as easily be number one on the list. However, discus has only been thrown on a few occasions in the Diamond League so it is the second here. Like Duplantis, Ståhl is the best in the world by branch and dominant. If Ståhl does his best, he wins.

3 Carsten Warholm and Jakob Engbritzen
– Hardcore Norwegian Athletes who are very much worth watching. Miraculous talents. Warholm is already the best in the world in a branch (400m hurdles) that goes a lot, where opposition is tough and where they sniff the world record. Ingebrigtsen is one of the few competitors in a branch (1500 AD) that has been dominated by runners from Africa for many years.

4 women’s high jump
The old world record probably did not hold another summer. Dominant Maria Lasitskini is going to have a tough time on her young rival Yaroslav Mahotjic, 19, from Ukraine. They both have pushed each other to world records and talk a lot about a very high standard. The best personal line for Lasit is 2.06 and Mahutjich managed 2.06 inside last winter. The world record is 2.09 and from 1987.

5 new names after the pandemic
Last year was a pandemic year with very few people allowed to compete, not least in the United States. In the aftermath, it is conceivable that the talents developed would appear instead for a year. I think first of Sha’Carri Richardson, world number 1 in the women’s 100m, and world number one JuVaughn Harrisson in the high jump and long jump.
Richardson April’s personal best of 10.72 is the sixth best player ever. She did not compete outside the United States but won the Student Championships two years ago and competed in the World Cup competitions.
Harrison Unique talent. Athletes are often all-round and good at many disciplines, but being as good as Harrison is unusual. It is a nice. He also only competed in school competitions. Given the Olympic year, he is guaranteed to participate and try to take a place.
