November 11-12, Sweden chases a spot in the elite division of the Billie Jean King Cup. It is now clear that SVT will broadcast the crucial play-off match against Great Britain away from home.
The decider is played on the hard court at the Copper Box Arena in London and consists of four singles matches and one doubles match, all decided in the best of three sets.
The internationals begin on Saturday (3pm) with two singles matches. On Sunday (13.00) there will be two singles matches followed by a doubles match. SVT broadcasts all matches.

Sweden’s Rebecca Pettersson has been forced to withdraw from international competition due to injury. Sweden’s nominated team includes Mirjam Björklund, Keiza Hennemann, Kajsa Rinaldo Persson and debutants Lisa Jaar and Bella Bergqvist Larsson.
Opponents Great Britain, ranked 14 in the country, line up with Katie Boulder, Jodie Burrage, Harriet Dart and Heather Watson. Johanna Larsson and Ani Keothavong, the captains of both countries, have the option to make changes to the squad until the draw is made the day before the match begins.
– It will be a tough competition for our players, we face strong Great Britain. I go to London feeling that anything is possible. I’ve been involved in these environments myself for a long time and know that rankings often don’t have to matter. We’ll be left behind and there’s nothing to talk about. But I don’t think that should scare us, it should motivate us more. “Me and all the girls on the team are looking forward to the challenge,” says Larsen.
The winner qualifies for the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup Qualifying Round, a directly decisive international tournament where a place in the finals of the World Tennis Team Championships – the Billie Jean King Cup Final – will be secured.
