Ekman Hotels continues its journey of growth with the acquisition of Quality Hotel Galaxen, one of the largest hotels and conference facilities in Dalarna. On December 30, the deal was completed with the seller Folkets Hus Borlänge Economic Union. – Hotell Galaxen is exactly what we were looking for. I had incredibly good feelings about the facility in 2019 when I was here for the first time and the potential for the hotel and area development is amazing. These are large, magnificent buildings, with the potential to once again become an important player for hotels, conferences and leisure in Dalarna, says Patrick Ekman, CEO of Ekman Hotels in a press release.
The hotel, which has 127 rooms and a relaxation area and is one of the largest conference and leisure facilities in Dalarna, is located right in the center of Borlänge. The premises are about 7,000 square meters and after the pandemic they continue to focus on packages and entertainment.
– We placed great importance on finding the right buyer and when Ekman showed up, I felt he was right. The most important thing for us is that it will be beneficial for Borlänge and Dalarna in the future, says Ulf Sonesson, head of the economic association Folkets Hus Borlänge, and we believe that Ekman is the right person to develop the facility further.
Ekman Hotels is a hotel entrepreneur who takes care of the individual and develops the local in each hotel and acts based on the capabilities of the facility. Each facility has its own unique history and values.
