EC Lovisa Lind finished in athletics in Munich

After a late announcement about two weeks ago, it was clear that Lovisa Lind was selected for the Swedish European Championship squad.

After three years of not having any major outdoor championships internationally, it’s time again Thursday morning. Lovisa ran her fourth and final test run for the 800m with several big names ahead of her. Among others, European third seed Gemma Rickey from Great Britain and European sixth seed Christina Herning from Germany.

Lind started the race well and was at the top of the group, but there were small margins and tight surfaces and after half the race she was pushed to the bottom half. After that, the lead was shut down properly again and despite several attempts to get out, Lind got stuck behind several riders and secured a 5th place finish. Unfortunately, there was not enough time to progress, and Lovisa Lindh’s EC adventure is now over for this time.
