Cleaning is the worst thing SD-Tobbe can think of – work

The electoral boom has started in full force, and surely you thought the right-wing movement peaked last week? Now it turns out that the bottom is not really reached.

The Swedish Democrats’ legal policy spokesman, Tobias Andersen, is now pushing the boundaries even further. “SD-Tobbe” has faced heavy criticism for joking on Twitter that a subway train containing SD ads is a return migration train with the last stop in Kabul. Now he continues to shoot whatever he himself chooses to call Diminishing community service. 

The proposal means that children who will perform “degrading” actions. The goal is said to be for the Sanctions Department to act as a deterrent in hopes of keeping young people away from gang crime. The tools, according to him, are humiliation and lowering the age of punishment.

Nine-year-olds should do forced labor with labour

The children, as young as nine years old, must be forced to do work with which Tobias Andersen of the Swedish Democrats associates so much shame that they should not then be welcome in the criminal gangs. Instead of deterring children from committing crime, gangs are now deterred from recruiting low-status children.

Staff work for children is so stupid and reprehensible that it’s not worth commenting on, but there’s another aspect worth delving into: the workers’ point of view.

The Swedish Democrats have tried in various ways to fight the bourgeois label they have received after pursuing right-wing policies since entering Parliament. By talking about poor retirees and pretending to be in favor of a high social security fund, they are trying to shift focus from the fact that they have allied with shock anti-workers in hopes of changing the government.

Cleaning “status degrading”

But then it fails for right-wing extremists and class contempt seeps through the cracks in the facade. The worst thing they can think of is having to do an honest job in front of the people they know.

Most notorious is cleaning and sanitation, a job that thousands across Sweden do today.

Calling these wage earners a community campaigner is an understatement. But according to SD-Tobbe, they should be ashamed. A disdainful look at work and workers and a strange look at status to say the least. And people like SD-Tobbe believe gangs won’t have a particularly hard time recruiting.
