Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Wednesday that Britain was not a corrupt country. He returned to Glasgow to talk about the progress of the climate summit, but had to answer questions about a scandal that erupted in the party, the BBC reported.

“I really believe Britain is not a completely corrupt country, I do not believe our companies are corrupt,” Johnson told reporters.

Jeffrey Cox, president of the Judiciary, is being investigated for his side duties as a tax asylum consultant. According to media reports, he has withdrawn more than a million pounds, equivalent to 11 million kroner in addition to his work as a Tory MP.

– We have a very difficult parliamentary democracy and research system, at least not the media, Johnson defended himself.

These comments have come even after several MPs have reviewed their side obligations.
