With a brand new linear TV channel and video-on-demand service packed with entertainment, the BBC will continue to offer Swedish viewers thousands of hours of world-class television entertainment.
Stockholm – February 23, 2023 BBC Nordic TV will collect and replace the best of BBC BRIT and BBC Earth. With BBC Nordic+, which will be a new video-on-demand service, users can browse and discover new favorite programs from a generous selection broadcast linearly on BBC Nordic TV.
The BBC has been raving Swedish viewers with the best range of British entertainment for a long time. The upcoming launch of BBC Nordic and the BBC Nordic+ video-on-demand service has been developed with the help of BBC Studios’ longstanding experience with its Swedish viewers.
The selection is made for a wider audience in Sweden, where the best factual and entertaining programming from the BBC is presented. With extensive premium content tailored with everything from popular series to fact-based content from BBC Nordic, The whole family can look forward to an entertaining and colorful spring television season.
BBC Nordic presents original series such as QI, The Graham Norton Presentation And life below zero previously broadcast on BBC BRIT and the BBC. Comes in nice company of new software like The Great British Bake and the third season of The Nature Show Serengeti.

With BBC Nordic+ Video, viewers can discover what’s new, which will be broadcast linearly on BBC Nordic. The scope of the program will cover a wide range of arts, culture, travel, history, documentaries and music.
At launch in April, the documentary series will be broadcast exclusively by BBC Nordics Fight the Power: How Hip-Hop Changed the World With the enemy general commander Chuck D. In four episodes, Chuck D takes viewers into conversation with hip hop’s biggest legends. Among other things, you can meet world-renowned artists Ice-T, Run DMC and Eminem, who humbly and nakedly talk about the history of hip-hop. How hip-hop rose from the ashes of the Bronx in the 1970s to then become an important sound in various subcultures and resistance movements around the world.
