Alexandre Wentin and Rasmus Jensen are already ready to dominate in Dakarna. It is now clear that 25-year-old Englishman Adam Ellis will be the team’s third driver. Last season he became the British singles champion.
– He’s a driver I’ve been watching for a while. Adam is an exciting driver with many good results. He became a British champion last season and would be a good complement for us. Mikael Thurnberg says he’s been a bit unlucky with injuries during his career and hopefully he can avoid next season.
During the 2021 season, Ellis captained the Pirates in the Bauhaus League.
– It’s been a good season for me. I felt strong in the UK and did some good solos winning the British Championship and qualified for the GP Challenge. In the leagues in Poland and Sweden (where Adam drove his pirates) things didn’t go as well as I would have liked, but I learned a lot from them, says Adam Ellis.
Want to win again
Adam Ellis is aiming to win the British Championship again and has invested a lot in new equipment.
– I have some major goals with the season. Individually, I want to win the British Championship again and qualify for the SEC. I also want a successful season in the leagues in Sweden and Poland. I have invested a lot in new equipment and hope it makes a difference.
Knowledge about ducks is not huge at Ellis.
– Frankly, I don’t know much. I’ve watched a lot of GP from Målilla over the years and have also followed the club on social media over the past season. What I’ve seen is there seems to be a lot of consistency in the team and last season they had a lot of top drivers. During our conversations, the club representatives were treated very well.
Adam Ellis says in a press release that he chose Dackarna to continue development.
