Think Pink is Sweden's biggest waste scandal to date, but the rather profitable waste management business is also being cheated out of in other countries. In Great Britain, a manager who ran an illegal dumping site was disqualified and fined heavily.

The manager of a waste station in Kent, Great Britain, has been sacked and also forced to pay the equivalent of around 260,000 Swedish krona in fines and compensation after being found guilty of running an illegal waste site. In addition, the man may not engage in such activities again for five years.

The waste was then dumped at the back of the yard and caught fire several times.

British The Environment Agency discovered piles of waste up to 6 meters high, consisting of rubble, soil, stone, metal, plastic and wood, among other things. It was clear that the waste was illegally buried as no licenses or exemptions were registered for the site.

Kent Environment Manager On EA says: “Through the investigations conducted by our officers, this prosecution sends a strong signal to others that we will continue to tirelessly combat illegal waste crimes and bring those responsible to justice. We thank the property owners who informed us of the incident“, writes the commercial engine.
