Tomorrow Childen was released as a free game for Playstation 4 in October 2016, but unfortunately it never worked and the servers shut down a year later. In the game, players were thrown into a dystopian future with the smell of Soviets where players had to work together to gather resources to build different buildings on a common base.
It is now known that the developers of Q-Games, which is also behind Pixeljunk Games, have taken back the rights to the game and will breathe new life into it at some point in the future. Statement said:
“I would like to thank first and foremost the fans of The Tomorrow Children, without whom I would never have had the confidence to continue pursuing this deal. Our fans are some of the most amazing players out there, and every single day they have kept the dream alive for the past four years. I think The happiest thing about this decision is to imagine the fun these fans will have when they return to the crazy, post-apocalyptic new Soviet world for the children of tomorrow.
It’s currently unknown when The Tomorrow Children will return, but it’s likely that the developers will keep us updated.
