MovieZine had the opportunity to interview the developers behind the “Diablo IV” expansion “Vessel of Hatred” at BlizzCon 2023.
With “Vessel of Hatred,” Blizzard returns to the forest world of Torajan (called Nahantu by its inhabitants) from “Diablo II,” which was exciting for the game studio to recreate again:
– It’s really nice to go back to the more nostalgic parts of “Diablo 2” and remake them for “Diablo IV.” We will now show what Travincal looks like, and what happened to some of the characters…
But “Diablo IV” takes place long after “Diablo II,” so don’t expect the world to look identical. Watt continues:
– He was 72 years old [sedan “Diablo II”] And to see it from the current sanctuary residents is really exciting. It’s great to be able to bring things over from previous games, and one of the most important parts of “Diablo IV” is that we take care of our heritage.
The “Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred” expansion will be released in late 2024.
