Devialet Mania calibrates the sound in the room

Devialet Mania is kind of the mobile version, but with some cool tricks we’re curious to try. ACTIVE, PORTABLE AND VERY PORTABLE – It has a handle – the speaker promises true stereo sound and uses advanced acoustic calibration to make it happen.

The tweeter has four full-tone speaker elements and two built-in amplifiers, which should reach a frequency range of 30 Hz to 20,000 Hz, and uses four microphones that automatically calibrate the speaker according to the room it’s in.

Devialet calls it ASC (Active Stereo Calibration), and the calibration probably works no matter where the Mania speaker is in the room.

Battery life

Available in black or white, the speaker also comes in a 24 karat Paris Opéra embellished version mongoldwith a docking base included in the box.

The Mania weighs 2.3 kg and is completely waterproof with IPX4 water resistance and can run for 10 hours on a single charge. It also has Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, Airplay 2, Spotify Connect and is now available.

It also supports voice control with Alexa and automatically switches to Bluetooth when WiFi is not nearby. The Mania can be controlled with the same Devialet app used in the Phantom and Dione speakers, and will receive an update in 2023 that will allow Mania to be used with Amazon’s Multirom.

Devialet Mania costs SEK 8,990 in black or white. The Paris Opéra version costs SEK 10,990, but then you get the docking station, which costs an extra SEK 890 for the black or white version.
