Simple automation saves iPhone battery. Especially on the new iPhone 14 Pro.

I’ve always had automation defining power saving mode for me, and it just became even more important with the iPhone 14 Pro. The reason is that the new always-on display consumes a bit of battery, but stops when power saving mode is on, which makes sense. It’s easy to set up so I thought I’d share it.

Start by opening the app abbreviations.
click automation at the bottom and then after that + in the top right.
click personal automation.
Scroll down and tap battery level.
Start by choosing rise above 50% (or whatever level you choose) and click Next.
then choose Add work and offer to Set the power saving mode and click Next.
here choose from Ask before activating So you don’t have to agree every time that happens.

Clear! Then you re-sequence the whole but choose instead drops less than 50% And when you select the power saving mode, tap and tap on me so that it is to. Then you should have the two pieces of automation shown below.

Now the power saving mode will start automatically when the battery level drops below 50 percent. At the same time, you get a notification, which is really good, if you’re on an adventure and have a long way to get to the charger, it’s a good reminder to stop playing with your mobile unnecessarily.

The always-on display also turns off when in sleep mode, which is convenient.
