Penalty line after Finland – USA: Commentary by Sako Minalanen, free play by Austin Watson. Strange, Lejonens GM Jere Lehtinen thinks.
The match penalty and a total of 55 minutes of suspension were the harvest when Finland beat the United States in Monday’s World Cup match in Tampere.
Above all, Americans boiled, and rawhide Austin Watson went to shower at the start of the second period. Watson put an elbow in Timo Hartikainen’s head – a move for which the regulators’ disciplinary committee does not impose additional penalties.
Watson is ready to play when the United States meets Great Britain tomorrow.
– It’s a strange feeling. One should ask those who decide the shape of the line. It will be sad for the players because they don’t know where the boundaries lie, Finland’s general manager Jerry Lehtinen said regarding Wednesday’s morning session.
Hartikainen in a state of play
Lehtinen thinks the World Cup streak is ambiguous.
At the same time that Watson is allowed to play, Sako Minalanen is suspended because Finland plays Sweden. Mäenalanen saved the American wildly at the brink, but sat for only two minutes in the penalty area.
Finland buys Mäenalanen’s commentary and Lehtinen says it would have been more than minutes for the Lions out of the game. However, the Lions team management is questioning how to think about treating Watson.
-If you have to deal with the elbow in the head, they put players in limbo, says Lehtinen.
– You would be welcome to hear the reasons why it happened this way. When a comment is held, clear messages will appear so that everyone understands the background.
Hartikainen is part of Finland’s first series against Sweden. The attacker says he had seen the medical team’s evaluations and had not suffered a concussion.
The prestigious meeting between Finland and Sweden starts at 20.20 – Yle Sport reports directly from Tampere.
