Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen and Viaplay have entered into a multi-year partnership in which the Dutch superstar driver will participate in exclusive content for Viaplay viewers. Fans will be able to stream unique documentaries as Verstappen reveals the secrets of conquering the toughest tracks of Formula 1, along with fascinating insights into his life away from the pressures of sport, and much more. Verstappen will also be Viaplay’s ambassador in all markets in which Viaplay holds the rights to the Formula 1 show.
In December 2021, Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen made history as the first Dutch driver to win a Formula 1 championship. This title culminated in a rapid rise for the 24-year-old, already the youngest driver and race winner ever in Formula 1, and saw him claim the title of an athlete. Dutch year.
Verstappen began his title defense in March, bolstered by a large number of enthusiastic supporters. Every race of the new Formula 1 season – including the famous Dutch Grand Prix from Zandvoort – will be broadcast live on Viaplay in the Netherlands and all of the Nordic and Baltic countries. Viaplay launches in the Netherlands on March 1, 2022 with a unique blend of premium live sports, Viaplay Originals, international films and series, and children’s content. Besides Formula 1, the service will be the Dutch home of the Bundesliga, PDC darts and more, followed by the Premier League in August. Viaplay will cost €13.99 per month and will be available through distribution partners such as KPN and VodafoneZiggo, as well as subscriptions sold directly to customers.
