Ukraine: Russian bots destroyed in an explosion

The explosion was said to have occurred near the town of Dzhankoy.

Ukraine’s military intelligence stated on its website that the “Caliber” bots had been destroyed. They also wrote that the robots must have been loaded onto a train that may have been on its way to be loaded onto Russian warships. But they neither confirmed nor denied that Ukraine was behind the attack.

A video shared on social media was said to show the powerful explosion. The video was shared by, among others, an adviser to the Ukrainian Minister of Interior on Twitter.

The occupation government is investigating the attack

According to the city’s mayor, there were drone attacks on the city and a house and a shop were hit, the Russian state news agency TASS wrote, without mentioning anything about the robots that were destroyed. A representative of the occupying state of Crimea reportedly went to the scene to investigate the explosion.

News agency Astra reported that a total of five attacks took place in the city on Monday, four of which were said to be against the railway.

The railway line in Dzhankoy is a strategically important junction, from where rails run to the port of Sevastopol, where Russia’s Black Sea Fleet is stationed.
