Rummage 4 Finds Developer And Agent Support

New property portal Rummage 4 Property has received support from at least four major developers and around 30 estate agents, including industry giants.

Barratt, Bovis, Redrow and Persimmon are all said to be planning to list their properties on the new portal, while Countrywide have also lined up in support.

Rummage 4 Property is using the ‘Helping you win more instructions, helping you sell more homes’ slogan to pitch for business. However, the portal’s business plan seems to revolve around charging agents and developers substantially less than the established portals Zoopla and Rightmove, as well as linking its fees to house price inflation. It is also, tantalisingly, promising to make ‘for sale’ listings more visible via online search.

In this exclusive Prime interview, newly-appointed Anthony Codling CEO of Rummage 4 reveals more about plans for the new portal.

Criticism about the level of fees charged by the existing portals abounds. So estate agents and developers are bound to welcome a cost effective way to promote their properties. However, to make sales you first need buyers and attracting them is bound to be the biggest challenge for Rummage 4.
