Lin Svan on shoulder injury: “Is it an Achilles heel?”

Len Svan enjoys that, unlike previous years, pre-season is not about dealing with injury.

The 23-year-old had to focus a lot on building muscle in his upper body again and no longer felt his shoulder.

-I do whatever I want and it has an impact on everything I do. “I feel strong and safe with her,” she says.

“How much load can you handle?”

However, she believes she will have to pursue her previous injury for the rest of her career.

– It’s a little Achilles heel or something you have to take into consideration. How much load can it handle, how much can I do this and that. You have your various little ailments and bumps in the road and I just need to keep track of them a little bit.

She continues:

– There is nothing that limits or prevents me from driving at full speed. But if I drive at full speed, I may have to make sure I can do it again in a few days.

So you need to adapt your training a little?

-I don’t think I need to adapt anything overall, I just need to be smart with the training puzzle and see what we get with the most impact. Maybe it’s not a burden on the shoulder every day for a long time, but instead maybe bring some home every now and then so it stays fresh all the time.

“Don’t want to deal with the lapse.”

Sprint specialist Svahn finished fourth at the world championships last spring despite a poor preparation. Today, she says she’s fascinated by how well things worked out given how poorly she trained and how bad her condition was at times.

-It’s a relief to be on the other side. Now the circumstances are completely different. This is the way I want to exercise. I want to keep getting better and not deal with regression. I look forward to continuing. There are still two months left until the start of the season, and there is still a lot to be done.
