It is now possible to test Universal Control on macOS Monterey

For anyone who is curious about Universal Control, it is now possible to try a few tricks, but that is at your own risk.

Apple demonstrated a feature for macOS Monterey at WWDC they called Universal Control. It’s still not officially available for testing in macOS beta, but there’s a way to test it out if you dare. Universal Control gives users the ability to seamlessly use the same mouse and keyboard for multiple devices as well as drag and drop files between different devices. For example, you can work on your MacBook and then move your mouse pointer to your iPad to pull a file from that email.

To activate this, you first need to browse github, download the file, put it in the correct folder (/Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/) and restart your computer so that it works. After restarting, you will find Universal Control settings below Settings -> Monitor -> Add offer Then select the devices to apply. Those who have taken the test have achieved very good results, but it is done at your own risk.

We do not encourage you to test, because in the worst case it can end up with corrupted system files!
